Blueprint for Canada: Water Policy Reform
FLOW is committed to engaging in dialogue around water policy reform with decision makers, water policy experts and other organizations to promote action towards a Canada-wide water strategy.
We have met with various government officials to share our perspectives, provide information and identify opportunities for action on Canadian water policy on the following initiatives.
- Changing the Flow: A Blueprint for Federal Action on Freshwater - this initiative was the impetus of the Forum for Leadership on Water and outlines essential steps for creating a sustainable freshwater future in Canada.
- Sustainable Water Infrastructure - FLOW and partners outline opportunities for job creation in new industries, energy reductions, long-term savings for taxpayers and the building of water technology markets.
- Safe Drinking Water - FLOW and partners work on a proposal that addresses jurisdictional fragmentation in drinking water policies and lack of access to safe drinking water faced by some Canadians.
FLOW is committed to these projects and other water policy issues, as we work to secure a Blueprint for Canada that sustains the essence of freshwater resources for the use and enjoyment of all Canadians.
